longport At every high school, there's that one girl, or a few girls you always wish would accidentally take a spill down the stairs and break the great legs God gave her. Or that one day while her blow-drying her hair, the blow-dryer would somehow fall into the sink with the water running. Every time she goes to get her hair done you pray that too much gets cut and that her coloring comes out horrible. Regardless of how it happens, you want her eliminated. You hope and pray that she’ll never walk down the halls flashing her tradmark smile when she says hi to someone. Yet at the same time you can’t help but to admire her. Like the way she can make anyone laugh whenever they’re feeling down. You admire how she manages to keep her grades up and still find time to be involved in sports & have a social life. Everything she touches looks as if it turns to gold. You know you're supposed to hate her, but you can't help but to love her instead. Everything about her is simply perfect. At Longport High, Erin Koncheski was one of those girls, or at least used to be, but anybody that knew her well would tell you that looks can be decieving. Nothing that pretty could be so perfect.
Erin Lee Koncheski was born on April 8, 1989 to Daniel and Maria Koncheski right here in Longport. By the way she carries herself around people she doesn't know, you would think she came from a model household, with a mom, dad, siblings and dog. Truth be told, her parents have been divorced for about sixteen years but still remain the best of friends and her father lives only a town away. When she was little her parents always said she was such a hyper active child that they had to enroll her in several activities to keep her occupied. When she was four she began playing soccer, took dance classes at six and at age seven began softball. Though she was one of the most athletic little girls around, Maria wanted more for her daughter. Maria wanted her to do well in school, before anything else. It was Daniel who was pushing her with the activities. He was the kind of father that believed you could get further with talents. When middle school came along, her parents came to the agreement that as long as her grades stayed up she could continue soccer and softball, since she loved the two the most. When it came to her grades, it was important to never slip up. Even if she was drunk off her ass Saturday night, come Sunday morning she was up studying for whatever test she had the next morning. Sometimes her friends were amazed at how well she balanced things in her life.
Besides being smart and talented, she was a beautiful girl and nobody could deny that. She could walk around with no make up, hair a mess and still look good. When it came to her personality, she was the kind of girl that you loved being around when you got to know her well enough. She wasn't afraid to sit back with her girls and be silly, and she had no problem having burp offs with the boys. When it came to her friends she loved them to death. Anytime she went to a party, they were right there getting drunk off their asses with her. Or if she needed to cry, there was always a shoulder to lean on. With the second half of her senior year quickly approaching, she's ready to leave the stuff of the past behind and live up her final year. After graduating from Longport High in 2007, she went on to attend Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where she is a sophomore. At first the move took a toll on her considering she had been unable to come home for most of her first year because of her commitment to sports. But now that she’s adjusted to college life, she’s decided to move back home and commute this semester. Although she’s grown up from being that girl who partied her life away while maintaining straight A’s in high school, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Erin L Koncheski will always be Longport’s resident girl next door!
